Bronchiolitis
Bronchiolitis is a common disease that usually affects infants before their first birthday. It causes the small breathing tubes of the lungs to swell. This blocks airflow to the lungs and makes it hard to breathe. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, bronchiolitis is the most common cause of hospitalization for infants.
