Concussions – Children and Adolescents

A concussion is a type of brain injury. It happens when an injury like a fall or hit to the head causes the head and brain to move back and forth quickly. This can injure the brain. It can result in problems with thinking, learning, sleeping, and more. If you think that your child might have a concussion, talk to your child’s health care provider right away. There are treatments that can help.
