WHY CHOOSE BLUE
The Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (OEP) is Here!
Are your clients getting the most out of their Medicare Advantage plan?
During the Medicare OEP, members can decide if they should keep their current plan. This includes reviewing provider network options, prescription drug coverage, copays, premiums, deductibles, and any other ancillary benefit options. Are your clients’ MA plans meeting their needs? What's the difference between OEP and AEP?
The main differences between OEP and AEP (Annual Enrollment Period) are who can use each and the timing. During AEP, anyone with an MA or Part D plan can make coverage changes for the upcoming year. OEP allows people currently enrolled in an MA plan to make a one-time switch to another MA plan or Original Medicare. Both enrollment periods happen annually.
