If you’re headed out of state, or even out of country, it’s good to know about your health benefits coverage while you’re away.
Traveling in the US
Great news! AZ Blue members are covered in all 50 states. You can even search the national directory of providers in case you need to see a doctor while away from home. Be sure to carry your member ID card.
Traveling Internationally
When living and/or working abroad, AZ Blue members also have exclusive access to GeoBlue where you can buy a supplemental plan for international travel, including important benefits like emergency medical evacuation. Check out the options from GeoBlue and always carry your AZ Blue member ID card.
4 Tips to Ensure Coverage While Traveling
- Log onto MyBlue to confirm your benefits while traveling. If you haven’t logged on before, you can register for a new account using the information on your AZ Blue ID card.
- Always carry your AZ Blue ID card anytime you travel.
- Find providers in any US State through the Blue National Doctor & Hospital Provider Finder.
- Purchase a supplemental plan from GeoBlue in advance if you want to be covered with important insurance benefits like emergency medical evacuation (since most plans do not cover you while traveling abroad).
